IMO G2 is just fine behind the plate.. his arm would be underused at 1st, I think..

So what, he's tall.. there's always an exception to the norm

I guess it just comes from watching him through out high school. GG is a catcher, IMO. I've never seen him anywhere else. Not saying he couldn't make the transition, but why put him into that position when he's doing just fine at his current one? So what his body type is strange for a catcher? I think that makes him unique!

I don't know. I do know he came thru against Florida the first game and I never saw him again. I think he should have played more in the CWS.

I see your point but can't totally agree. As someone said before, their exceptions to the norm. We don't know how much his knees can handle.

Who are the pitchers we have coming in next year? I admit I don't follow baseball recruiting as much. Is the Seagars kid a pitcher? I know he may go pro.

Yep. He transferred from junior college before last year. I got it wrong, he graduated the same year as me. So he didn't redshirt. A true junior, so he will be a senior. Our only seniors on the roster this year were Matthews, Roth and Munson.

Please forgive me if it's in another post or if I'm just plain ignorant, but is it assumed that both Marzilli & Walker (both Jr's.) won't return and will be going pro ?

Same for Price?

Seager plays SS or 2B. We had two pitchers who are staff were high on ending up signing pro contracts...but one did turn down the pros to come to school

Seager hasn't signed yet though

It is VERY assumed! And Walker has already said publically
he is moving on.

shon carson is another one to look out for. a cannon in the outfield may be safe to say he is just as if not faster than english. one scouting report stated he may not be a big power hitter (surprisingly kid is jacked) but he understands what his role in a game and knows what he's good at. lets not forget he was drafted in the mlb draft last year

what about Tanner Lovick, wasn't he giving Pankake a run for his money in the fall. The only thing i worry about next year is midweek and sunday starter, and middle relief

When I see Webb pitch I immediately think starter. That kid is good and he will go pretty high in next years draft.

Tanner Lovick wouldn't surprise me...he has been in Tanner's doghouse since his incident, and him being a JUCO shortstop behind Pankake, I would not be surprised at all.

We have a bunch...but the big one is Curt Britt.
He wasn't drafted because he said early on he was coming to school.
