Depends on the price. The Bulls love their core but if it takes a 1st rounder and John Lucas or someone along those lines I'd gladly take Mayo.

Mayo is an unrestricted FA. Boston is reportedly going to be going after him hard among other teams. Would think he could probably get a 5yr 40mil type deal from someone.

Wow, that is a major pay cut from what he made at Southern Cal.

Lots of news so far. Dwight Howard demanding trade to Nets. Howard has pretty quickly become my least favorite NBA player... Apparently Howard is also trying to appeal to the NBA to negate his opt-in from February, which would make him a UFA. It seems pretty laughable though. Don't see any way that this appeal would be successful.

Nets also exploring a trade with the Hawks for Joe Johnson. Would be huge for Atl to get rid of that contract. For the same reason not sure it would be a very good deal for the Nets. If the trade doesn't happen, Nets will reportedly make a big offer to OJ Mayo.

Gerald Wallace reached an agreement with Nets for a 4yr/$40M deal. Not sure if he would be involved in the JJ trade though. Pretty solid deal though, depending on how the last 2 years are set up with guarantees and options.

Blazers and another team offered Roy Hibbert a max deal (max for a guy coming off of his rookie deal, not true max), which is in the neighborhood of 4 yr/$55M. Indiana will probably match.

Eric Gordon is also looking for a max deal and is meeting with a ton of teams. New Orleans will undoubtedly match though.

Nic Batum being offered a 4yr deal worth close to $50M by Minnesota.

Omer Asik offered $8M per year by Houston. Not sure what to make of that... but big men always get overpaid.

Celtics offered Ray 2 yr/$12M contract. This is double what Miami can offer. Will be interesting to see if Chicago or another contender offers something in that ball park.

Celtics are also looking at Jason Terry and Nick Young. Some have said Terry is looking for close to $10 mil per year. He was awful this past year and is 34 so can't see him getting anywhere close to that.

Raptors offering Steve Nash a 2-3yr deal at $12M per year, which is probably the most he'll get but can't see Toronto contending.

Chicago doesn't have much cap space. Bulls have roughly $60M committed to Rose/Deng/Boozer/Noah/Hamilton. Not sure whether Chicago has MLE or not.

Dwight was stupid to agree with that opt in anyway. If he didnt agree, he would be a free agent and could go where he wanted

I'm interested to see what happens with Brandon Roy. The guy has no knees but when he was healthy he was close to a top 10 player in the NBA. And he feels good enough to try and play again. He'd be a great pickup if he can be even mildly effective considering he's likely to get a a relatively cheap or non guaranteed contract. Low risk/high reward.

Roy is meeting with 5 teams this week: Dallas, Chicago, Golden State, Minnesota and Indiana. Seems like the best situation and opportunity would be with Dallas where there isn't a ton at SG. Indiana would be a good option as well.

any of the above that arent desperate for athleticism or a shooting guard would be a good fit. indiana comes to mind for me because they have two athletic guys on the wings as starters. he probably can be a good role player, just comes down to the right fit and i guess pain/durability

I'd say the best spot for him would be Chicago to solidify a shooter if he is even close to what he was before. However, I wouldn't mind seeing him go to Minnesota to play with Kevin Love.

Lakers interested in Young as well. We are checking into vet PG's also from what I read Hinrich,Flynn, Billups. The T'Wolves supposedly are offering D Williams for Gasol. I have also heard a Gasol for Josh Smith deal, I like this one bc we lose size but gain athleticism. The Nets and Joe Johnson wouldn't involve Wallace he is a huge part in the push for a championship. The funny thing is the Nets think they are giving up to many expiring contracts in the deal and want to instead try and package Gerald Green. The contracts are for Farmar,Petro, Morrow and Williams.

Bobcats are interested in and are hosting Antawn Jamison this weekend. Went to high school in Charlotte and said he wouldn't mind returning and playing for the Bobcats. This would be a very big pick up if we land him. Certainly not a long term solution but can stretch the floor and adds much needed veteran leadership. Likely a two year contract making maybe $6 mil a year. He put up 17 ppg with 8 rpg last year. Would be a good role model for a lot of the younger players as well.

Bobcats are also interested in JJ Hickson which would be a younger option at the same position.

Pacers talking to Kaman so it looks like Hibbert might be on his way out to Portland.

LA interested in Jamal Crawford.

Looks like Hawks are making a run for Howard and CP3 and keeping Josh Smith. Trust me cockykevin, you do not want Josh Smith, he is a cancer.
