I'd vote for Pete Maravich. I'm not sure if he really counts, though, he only played in Clemson for 3 years at Daniel High while his father coached at Clemson.

i will call you out and say that it has been well documented that he was facing the possibility of criminal charges had he not left the state. i am not saying that these charges were right or wrong, but it is well known that there was a good chance there would have been an attempt to make a public example out of him.

went to school with his younger sister, and they were a really nice family. he was really cool to a lot of us who were younger than him by just a few years. he also had 2 cousins who played with him at hillcrest at the time and they both went on to play at furman - hal henderson and bruce evans.
