The background was white on this Block C and I did a background erase ... it was a quick job ... if your OCD was really good ... you'd notice the feet and spurs only being an outline

Yes, the text is actually behind the tree in Black

By that I am guessing you mean that some company will purchase rights to be in the title of the stadium (Ex- Bank of America Stadium). If thats the case then I doubt that would happen with a college stadium- they are usually with NFL stadiums.

But I could see them re-naming it IF Spurrier gets us a SEC/national championship. Something like "Steve Spurrier Field at Williams Brice Stadium".

Name is way too long... I would go with something a long the lines of Steve Spurrier Stadium... or The SOS @ Williams Brice.. idk just throwing a bone here

Yeah, that looks good. Even if they left the Williams Brice Stadium lettering at the bottom and just put the block C up there it would look good. It really just needs something though. We have the Gamecock logo on the outside of the South Endzone, it only makes sense to put something here.

IMO we use the white outline only in cases where the predominant background behind the Block C is a dark color, like Garnet or Black. We always use the garnet outline when the background is a lighter color, like our white football helmets or away jerseys. The Garnet outline looks better here IMO because the light-grey cement of the stadium will be lighter than the Block C....even more lighter than the picture shows, when the sun is high and shining on that side....

I don't wanna start a debate on here but the block C on the field has the white outline. ive just noticed that we've been using that more lately. Either way, it would look great on the side of the stadium. Lighting it up would be cool too, '

There is already a Block C logo on the back of the South stands...just order another one of those and stick it up there. It also has the glow lighting behind it. Problem solved.

The back of the video board will also light up. The Brice is gonna be once heck of a stadium next year. Gonna be considered one of the best in the SEC.

The stadium was originally built in 1934 with help of federal Works Progress Administration funds as Columbia Municipal Stadium. It originally seated 17,600 people. In 1941, the stadium was deeded to USC and renamed Carolina Stadium.
One end of the stadium was filled in during the 1940s, turning it into a horseshoe. Capacity was almost doubled, to 34,000. More than a decade later, the other end was filled in, turning the stadium into a bowl. Capacity increased to 43,000.
The stadium's first major renovation began in 1970, when the grass surface was replaced with AstroTurf. From 1971 to 1972, the west grandstand was completely rebuilt, with the addition of an upper deck. Capacity increased to 54,000.
The renovation was funded by the estate of Martha Williams-Brice, who left most of her estate to USC for stadium renovation and expansion. Her late husband, Thomas H. Brice, played football for the Gamecocks from 1922 to 1924. In her honor, the expanded stadium was officially renamed Williams-Brice Stadium on September 8, 1972. Today, it is one of only two stadiums in Division I FBS named solely for a woman, with the other being Joan C. Edwards Stadium at Marshall University.

i walked around inside the stadium and took a zillion pics today. they have the entire first row of the video board sections up and they were hoisting in a piece for the next row. I went all over in different sections and that thing is gonna be massive. How is it gonna look with us looking up from the student section lol!
