He played for a small private school and put up some gawdy numbers in HS. He has above average accuracy and his arm was a little stronger than most give him credit for. I still think he could have been a good, not great, but solid QB in the right situation.

From what I've seen spurrier will also praise his qb's unlike most other coaches if they just work hard and give a damn. He was always really classy with the whole tommy beecher debacle. He was even really laid back with stephen when he throwing like 6 picks a game last season because he felt he was "doing the best he can".

SOS has said much more nice things about Connor Shaw than negative. I think he came to a zen like realization with Garcia that it is what it is. It was sad.

I absolutely love the fact that GA is grabbing a QB every year and we aren't "settling" so to speak. The competition between Thompson, McEvoy, Nosovitch, and Mitch is going to be intense. And if Mangus is able to haul in 2014 star Drew Barker .. Wow.
