Admittedly I know very little about Ken Malcome other than he was highly sought after coming out of high school. But Gurley and Marshall are different type of backs than Bryant. They'd be great compliments to his running style.

Gurley is a bigger back though with some speed. I think he might turn out better then Marshall.

Gurley is a physical back. Maybe not as much as Bryant but I've thought Gurley has the most potential of any RB I'd seen in a long time. He will be better than Marshall IMO

To me, I think we really load up on DTs in 2014...especially with the strong in-state crop we have in Zeek Rodney, Dexter Wideman and Naquez Pringle.

But for 2013, I'd keep an eye out for Jaynard Bostwick, along with De'Asian Richardson and Kendrick Hair.

We brought in a lot of great OL in 05, 06, etc...it's just that John Hunt was an awful position coach and the OL suffered.

Not really. Poor talent evals...a few other positions as well. But JH was not a good OL coach and DR was not a good QB coach.

Don't forget how much players can develop when they buy into and believe in a system and that's what I've noticed the most with our last few recruiting classes. Solid guys who want to be Gamecocks and are committed to the system. Combine that with excellent senior leadership and what you get is what we've had the past two seasons.

I'm glad our coaches don't give a crap about the rankings, and just evaluate the talent as they see it.

It just seems Clemson salivates over those rankings... kinda like how they cheated to get a better US News/World Report college ranking, they just love crap like that.

Recruiting is their best sport haha
