I spoke to Dylan Thompson (who is a GREAT kid, by the way) not long ago and he said the offense has been working out like mad. He also said Kwinton Smith in unbelievably good.

Hearing him, the workouts and participation have been great, and he's not one to sugarcoat. But, he might have limited exposure to the entire team.

Oh yeah, he also said Victor Hampton is on people like glue.

Back in the day, when we didn't have squat for depth, this would have been bad.

Fast forward to current day: Take the offenders out of the rotation until they prove they are willing to work. Except for three players it wouldn't mean that great a deal and would be a lesson for the other players.

i was afraid of this. I've said before that one of my concerns going into this season was whether we were going to be able to replace Fitzgerald as Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. There was something special about Fitz. In the 3 years here, we really made great progress as a football program. Maybe Connally will get it done. I hope so. But, this is a concern going into this season.

Exactly. This was simply a shot across the bow giving warning that some ballast will be jettisoned. Competition will be made keener. SOS is determined to make history here and he will get the utmost out of each player. What would have been just fine in the past will not cut it today. Game on.

Don't know about that one. They've praised Clowney too much for it to be him. Off the top of my head, I know that bubba made a tweet directly to Shamier asking if he was still on the team, because he wasn't at the workouts. Perhaps its just a few freshmen that SOS is pointing to.
