Ok, the suspense and wait is killing me. I cannot wait until kickoff. It has been way too long. These next 25 days better go by quick.

So... just for the heck of it, and that im desperate for football....

Predictions? (I know ive done this like 3 times, but its a great way to help pass the time...) I mean what else can you do during the off season? To me, the last month is the worst.

I say 10-2 as well although I think we beat UF. I think we lose one we shouldn't like Auburn last year or UK the year before.

@ Vanderbilt- W. Close in the first half, but we pull away in 2nd half. Marcus has a big game in his first game back.

vs ECU. W. ECU is a decent team, but we are still better. It won't be like last year. Will be over by the 3rd. Oh yeah, we start the new board off with a bang!

vs. UAB- W, Repeat ECU description.

vs. Missouri. W, First SEC game. Missouri will come to play and will show it, but we are the better team overall. Good, convincing win.

@ Kentucky. W, They will be horrible this year. Won't be close. Its an away game, but Commenwealth Stadium isn't much of a threat. It will be completely different than our last trip there. (Don't even go there...)

vs. Georgia. W. One of the biggest games of the year. Both teams may be undefeated at this point and usually decides the East winner. It helps that it's in Columbia this year. Classic USC/UGA game. Pretty close but we end up winning. Won't be a 45-42 game but won't be 7-3.

@LSU. L. I hate to say it but, they will give us our first loss. Part of our tough stretch and in Death Valley. It will be an exciting game but will fall short.

@ Florida. W. This will be tough. Going to LSU and Florida in back to back weeks. Florida will be decent this year. They have problems with their QB. I see us with a win, but it won't be the prettiest win.

vs. Tennessee. W. Back to Columbia. UT will be better but not good enough. We win and show everyone that this is not your granddaddy's South Carolina.

vs. Arkansas. W, Another huge SEC game. Arkansas is a team that we can never seem to figure out. However, they have some issues right now. We will finally beat them and secure a spot in Atlanta. Oh yeah, having a bye week before helps.

vs. Wofford. W. They run that stupid triple option but we will figure it out (new DC this year). Won't really be close.

@Clemson. W. 4 peat. Embarrass Clempson in their house. Im sure they will talk crap they week before and will not back it up. The fake Death Valley will be half empty by the end of the 3rd.

vs. LSU/Alabama (SECCG)- ?????

Hard to say at this point. Sugar looks possible with 11-1 regular season, no matter if we lose in Atlanta. Cotton would be good too, but id rather go to Sugar.

I see no reason we can't hang with the best teams on our schedule this
season. LSU, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida etc... This team is more talented
than the team that beat a damn good Bama team two years ago, and I
strongly feel we are not nearly as inconsistent as that team due to having
just gone through half a season without Marcus Lattimore and one of our
best O/Linemen. I don't think this team would follow a fantastic win with
a loss to an unranked team. I see this team as one that should start out
Hot at the opening day, and get steadily better as the season progressed.

What record we have at the end of the year all depends on Execution
game to game, but I'm convinced we are as good as any team in the SEC
right now.

I agree.. I believe we can hang with anyone... whether its LSU in Death Valley, or LSU in Atlanta.. or Bama.. doesn't matter. We need to wipe away that BS mindset that we aren't good enough. I don't know about anyone else, but I am going into that LSU game with the mindset of we are going to win this game.

2012 is the start of a new era. Even though i have us losing to LSU, we win every other game in a convincing way. We may even beat LSU if we get lucky. No more of this "coulda, shoulda, woulda" games. The time has come for us to succeed.

Just a gut feeling. Florida is really good at home, even though the last few years have been down for Florida standards. We've only won 1 time there in the history of our program. I just think they'll be a better team than the 2010 team we beat handily in the swamp! We'll see.

for me the excitement is already here. all year i'm not dying to get to sept, i am dying to get to august. i love preseason camp, and find it almost as entertaining as the season. there are storylines everywhere, there is drama and tons of ups and downs. rather you are following freshmen, or the vets, there is so much excitement.
as much as i would love to go 14-0, i would be plenty happy with a 10-2 or 11-1 season. i think this season is VITAL for us not to go backwards, or you will here the "same ole carolina" moans and mindset creep back into our culture. with at least a ten win season, i think we keep the ball rolling, and the national mindset will be that carolina is for real.

I totally agree with youe statement about not going backwards. We've had winning seasons before (not like last year) but you know what I'm saying. We just need to keep recruiting well and build a continueous winning team. I think asking for 14-0 is alittle to much right now.
