scrimmage was 2's and 3's at the practice field. ward is exuding confidence, doesnt expect akeem to be out more than a day or two, but if a guy is out we'll get someone else ready. ward and clowney say the mlb talk and moving around is all about finding matchups for your best players. holloman has a slight hammy pull. mason harris has a groin issue. lb coach botkin praised shaq for his play so far in camp and likes what he sees out of the two true freshman backers and diggs at spur. if the season started now it would wilson and bowens as the starting linebackers, but mentioned jeffery being in the mix.

that has me wondering who the backup at mike is right now.

Thanks for posting. Hopefully Hollomaan isn't out too long and is back at practice in a few days. Very excited to hear about Coach Ward-he seems to be VERY confident in his defense so far.

Also, I think what small concerns I had about the linebackers coming in are started to be eased a little bit.

I think SOS said he didn't but he(Latt) wanted to



Spurrier said he'd probably get a couple on Saturday(if I heard that right)

Really liked what Roland had to say in his interview from yesterday. Seems like he really gets it and is working hard on technique and trying to learn all he can from Ace, as he said his route running was incredible.

So it turns out Tanner actually asked for a position change. i wonder why they couldn't find space for him, are we really that deep?
It's really nice to hear coach say our QB situation is pretty good, more than once.

we probably are, it got brought up by a few posters but i dont think it was realistic even with his size to expect him to contribute at wr this season. then he would have to ponder would he want to move to wr and possibly be in the same boat he is now at qb. if he really wants to get on the field somewhere in the next year at whatever position it makes sense to move on.

I don't like trying to read between the lines but it seemed that SOS didn't want to bring up coachability as an issue with Tanner. However, he did says how coachable the others are. I wonder if with the QB stable being in good shape for the future is the reason they didn't try to hang on to him.

Thats right. We will see a lot of Quin this year as well as Bowens. Both are very capable.
