Some extra tid bits about the practices.
there will be open two a day practices on thursday, and a full scrimmage on saturday afternoon, that will be open to the public. so spurticus will get a chance to do a few more practice reports.
everything i have read on the pay sites are saying that the last few practices have been excellent practices for almost everyone who has been doing well this fall, with one notable exception, d. smith. from what they are saying, all of the wr's are looking very good, and even d. smith is at times. but they say that he is inconsistent, and has a case of the drops at times on balls he should definitely catch. other than that, they have high praise for the team as a whole, and are saying that this team looks head and shoulders better than any preseason team they have witnessed in recent times. gotta head to work, but i will post more when i can...

Dee Dee needs to do what Alshon did in 2010: hang back after practices with a GA, and just do catching drills over and over. Get to where he's making catches in his dreams at night...

d smith has had some great catches and moments, but he just hasn't had as consistent a camp as the others. and this isn't that bad, considering that the others have been having an excellent camp, especially from a gamecock perspective. but we have plenty of options. i think dl moore is going to have an excellent year, as well as byrd and sanders. ellington will have a very good year, and if i was a betting man, i'd put money on either kwinton or shaq to make a pretty strong impact for a freshman. good things are coming.
yes, the scrimmage is at 3:45 on saturday, and the night practice on thursday is supposed to be at the normal time.
