68 Bronco Build

First off... The pictures make the truck look great. The paint is shit. Some of the panels were welded to other panels... idk why. One of the doors is welding to the frame. The gauges are broke. The alternator went out the day I got her. Will be a fun and challenging task

You going to keep the original 289/302 carbureted small block or you going to go with something new fuel injected? If you are going to take it off road at all that Edelbrock/Carter AFB is probably the worst carburetor on the face of the planet for it.

Overall
The good:
There is zero body rot.
Minimal body rust.
Transmission works great
Top is in good shape.
Engine runs strong.
Solid project to build on

The Bad:
2nd gear throw is far
The 4wd is a bitch to shift into
Needs new Leaf Springs
Steering is loose. Kinda scary to drive
The body has holes for reasons unknown to me all over the place.
Previous owner tried to fab a transmission cover. Failed miserably
No seatbelts
No power steering
No power brakes
No A/C

New motor/tranny is down the road but I cant decide between a 351cleveland, a 5.0ho, or a 4.6 cobra modular motor. For the sake of keeping her old school ill prob do the 351. I have one but she needs a lil work

Just finished a twin turbo 5.4 mod motor for my buddy , they have extra goodies also

Tomorrow I sandblast the cab and apply a DIY Rhino Liner called Raptor

Im waiting for some roll cage tubing and corbeau 4 point harnesses as well. Going to fab some mounting brackets. Need a welder to weld the Tubing to the brackets. Trying to save the $250 bucks and make the harness bars myself.

Been working alot and havent had time. Bought a sandblaster and a 25 gal. air compressor. Sandblaster kept getting clogged so I took it back. Keeping the air compressor.

Trying something new tomorrow...

AirCraft Paint Stripper

Supposed to remove paint pretty easily and also Rhino liner... Ill post some before and after pics over the next week
