Florida - a trap game?

I expect us to beat that ass. With the exception of the blowout at home when we hand delivered tebow the heisman that florida game has been just about our best performance pretty much every year since spurrier has been here. Coincidence? I don't think so. Its far more likely to me that spurrier kind of packs it in down at LSU early. We kind of did that against r-kansas two years ago as I recall. Got lattimore out to get ready for florida. He knows beating our eastern division rivals is what makes life sweet.

Don't know if "trap game" is apt but I do feel it's a potential stumbling block on our schedule. I am way more worried about UF than Vandy. They have great talent but have been poorly led and have had a few key missing pieces, such as the O line. With just a little improvement it should not surprise anyone if they win 8-9 games

That's true. But, we've been doing that regularly. I think everyone now understands that if we want attention on the national scene so we can take this thing to the next echelon...we've got to stop $hitting the bed against western opposition. Those wins are just as important as wins against the east. If we had won one of them last year...we would have taken the east.

Look it doesn't matter if we're playing ECU or LSU. You got to take it to every opponent, every week. Thats why I can't see florida as a trap game. That, at least as long as spurrier's here, is one team we WILL not over look. And a few have mentioned our guys being worn out or exhausted in the stretch. We have always had at tough stretch late in the season. Did we wear down last year? Didn't look like it to me. I can see your premise, and it will be a tough stretch. But we have a tough team and we'll be ready to do some gator hunting in the swamp.

I agree with this post 100%. While I believe every game on our schedule can be "noted" as a trap game, Florida is not one of them. Yearofthegamecock made that point, that Spurrier built Florida. Spurrier is a GOD in Florida, and Spurrier is not going to let anyone on our team for one second look past Florida. Even though it is his Alma Mater, he wants to beat them as much as Georgia or LSU. I hate to say it, but he seems to have this teeny tiny bit of hatred for Florida. He likes beating them lol

This team isn't at all taking Vandy or anyone for granted. I can tell you that just by what Lattimore and other players have been saying. They are ready. I believe starting this week they will be in preparation for vandy. Steve Spurrier is going to wipe the floor with vandy.

This is Florida we are talking about right? There defense will still be among the best in the country and thet have a ton of talent on offense just not a proven QB. It's in the Swamp which makes this even tougher, especially after a road game at LSU. I can't see any team in this scenario over looking this game. The fact that it comes after 7 games without a bye and back to back games against Georgia and @ LSU will make it a tough win alone, no way this team will be looking past this game. I see the Tennessee game being more of a trap then this one.

Florida is one of those teams we never look over. A trap game to me, is when you play a team that you take too lightly expecting a win, but end up losing.

UT sounds more like a trap game to me. We will beat UT and UF but it won't be pretty, espeically UF. Going to Death Valley and the Swamp in back to back weeks is going to be tough. At least Tenn is in the Brice
