Week 6 vs UGA is our best chance. Only other big games that week are LSU/FLA and NEB/Ohio St

Miami-ND in Chicago is that week too. I think Gameday will come once this year. Either for UGA or Arkansas.

I enjoyed it in the horseshoe, it was a good setting... but unfortunately on campus for us means away from the stadium and the traffic getting back to williams-brice in time for the game was a little rough. And as mentioned, the fact that the stadium will be in the backdrop can only help. Either way, gameday doesnt come our way too often and I will be pumped either way!

The ESPN guys LOVED the Horseshoe, but yeah, the Farmer's Market has potential, especially once the trees mature.

I know Fowler kinda has a reputation for being a difficult guy to work with, but what was his beef with the fairgrounds?
I was on the road in the morning for the Bama game, and just barely made it to the stadium on time, so I never really got to watch any of the Gameday stuff on the Horseshoe. As beautiful as the setting is, it's also rather inconvenient. Which is part of the reason I love having the stadium so far off campus; when everyone else shows up to tailgate and create a mess, campus stays nice and pristine. UGA fans essentially destroy their own campus every week; I'm thankful we don't. |

I thought the horseshoe was a great setting.
With that said, how awesome would it be to have gameday on the new farmers market area with WB in the background. |

The Horseshoe was fantastic for Gameday but I think with the Farmer's Market being landscaped and what not it gives it a better look than the Fairgrounds did and it is also involved with the tailgating scene. That was the one downside to Gameday in the Horseshoe, was very detatched from the game setting.

This may be selfish, but one of the biggest reasons I was glad that Gameday was on the Horseshoe was that not very many Alabama fans were there. It was almost all students and it made the atmosphere amazing. If it were held at the Farmer's Market there would be a lot more visiting fans. Plus having it on the Horseshoe gave America a chance to see how beautiful our campus is. And I was a student and had no problem making it to the game on time.

It makes sense to have it at the new farmers market, imo.
You have a brand new area, that is almost as nice as the horseshoe, and you have the stadium in the background. That way you can easily walk to the game instead of going through the wonderful traffic in Columbia on game day. Oh, and a great way to show our new FM to millions of viewers around the nation! The area around WBS really has changed |

I'm a little skeptical that the presence of all the cars will still be there for the farmer's market location, but I have no doubt that the next time we host Gameday it will be at that location.
Personally would still rather use the Horseshoe location (especially if its a night game so people would have plenty of time to go and then tailgate) but I think when those scarlet oaks grow, the farmers marker will be perfect.

Do people on here even understand why GameDay was aired from Horseshoe the last time they came here? They didn't have the game, CBS did. They couldn't be out by the stadium. If they come back, they'll be at the Farmer's Market or the Garnet Way (Or whatever the hell it's being called).

Gameday is an experience that every college football fan should have. It doesn't matter where you are in the crowd, just be there.

I think what also took part was because of the flags we flew at the last game day at the fairgrounds.
Easier to police at the horse shoe

This is true. The entire crew MUCH preferred the Horseshoe to the fairgrounds. Also, Gameday isn't just for the fans in attendance. It is a day long commercial for USC. The middle of an industrial slum does nothing to showcase the form and function of Carolina. The beauty of the Horseshoe did. There are shots aplenty of WB during the game. I say keep Gameday on the grounds of the university.

I think they would choose the Farmers Market, the proximity and new venue is too appealing. The Horseshoe for bama '10 was great, but they will want to showcase the new spot.

uga won't be undefeated coming into Columbia, they are going to lose to mizzou. I hope this isn't the cornerstone of them coming.
