Default Hartsville Senior Defensive Lineman Ronald Rouse.
He collapsed twice tonight during their game with Crestwood. He was transported to the nearby hospital where he later died. Unimaginable tragedy. Absolutely cannot imagine what his family is going through. Please remember his family in your thoughts and prayers.

He collapsed on the field....they attended to him for several minutes. At that point he was able to stand and walk under his own power. Once he reached the sideline area he collapsed again. At this point they had to do chest compressions and use a defibrilator. He was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

Entire community is stunned. I can not imagine the pain his family is going through right now.

You never expect to see something like this when you go to a game.

It took all I could do to get my son to the car and then he just lost it.

Was at the game with my family. A hush fell over the crowd as all attention was focused on the medical staff working on the young man. Such a nauseating feeling. Trying to explain to my children what happened. Poor kid.
