Words and phrases that people need to be corrected on...

...because they constantly mispronounce them. I will start with a few:

RoTTweiler, not RoCKweiler.
MassaCHusetts, not MassaTWOsetts.
Wal-MART, not Wal -MartS or Wal -MarK.
AsK, not aX or asT.

My mother was a librarian for 40 years. Her best friend and our next door neighbor was an English teacher. I had gramar and spelling beaten into me. So how are things in Aiken? It's been thirteen years since I left.

I work in a parts store so I see the cream of the crop every day.

I hear brakes pad instead of brake pads
Harmonica balancer instead of harmonic balancer
Skruts instead of struts
and last but not least, fuse pump instead of fuel pump.

This is just a small sample of the ignorance I hear on a daily basis working in Kingstree.

This was the first one that came to mind. I rarely see people use "I couldn't care less" correctly.

I think 95% of the time people say "I could care less." If they took 2 seconds to think about it, they'd know that "I could care less" makes no sense.
