Ok this is kind of weird but a buddy that went to high school with me now works in the marketing department for the Bengals. He called me last night and said that word came down around the office that Jay Gruden has handed in his notice and will coach out the rest of the year but will leave the Bengals to go and coach with his brother in college next season. He did not say where and that was all he really knew but damn I never thought in a million years any of these Gruden to UTjr were true but this has made me a believer. I just don't know how he will translate to the college game. I wonder if they are going to go ahead and fire Dooley now or what?

After the crap that he pulled at the Air Force game he should have been fired immediately.

I have a few interesting choices I think would work at UK.
1. Frank Solich... Kinda in the Rich Brooks mold of an aging coach finishing out his final years and trying to give that program some stability until an up and comer will take the job. 2a. & 2b. Terri or Tommy Bowden... Both are not gonna get a higher tier BCS level job without first showing they can do it again with a lower BCS level school. Terry is currently at a MAC school and Tommy's clemson money should be running out after this season so he will probably be looking for a gig because his foxsouth pregame show sucks. |

I know there was some talk about him in the Joker fired thread, but I don't think he will end up at Kentucky.
However. Do you all think Arkansas makes a serious run at Chad Morris? It'd be a great fit for him.

Maybe. Seems like you could just go ahead and get Malzahn if you're R-kansas. Might as well get the guy who developed the system instead of the guy who just learned how to run it. I would personally prefer a pro-style coach if I'm r-kansas because they've got good personnel in place to run that. You could get strong and keep petrino brother as OC if they could work that out, best case scenario.

Yeah, I figure Malzahn is on the short list for the Arkansas job as well. I'd hate to be the Arkansas State AD knowing that it is only a matter of time before your head coach bolts for a bigger school.
I think both Malzahn and Morris would be good fits for the school. Hog fans should be happy with either of them.
