Cornerback Al Harris Jr. has recently added a pair of new offers to bring the number to four for the 5-foot-10, 160-pounder.

“I just got new offers from Rutgers and Cincinnati, and I had already had offers from South Carolina and Purdue,” Harris said. “Purdue was my first offer. They offered during practice. They told my dad, who was coaching, and he told me, but I just kept going and practicing.”

The early offer from South Carolina is currently sticking out to the son of former NFL cornerback Al Harris.

“I really like South Carolina a lot. I’m weighing all my options, and I like all of the schools that have offered me. I want to take a junior day visit to South Carolina,” he said.

Harris, who is currently running track for “STA”, attended junior day at Miami Jan. 13.

“It was really nice. I got to meet some of the other recruits and freshman that had just come in. It was really nice there,”

Alabama, Florida and Florida State are among the many schools sending mail. He hopes to receive offers from Miami, Florida, Florida State, UCF and the schools close to home.

Cornerback Al Harris Jr. (Fort Lauderdale/St. Thomas Aquinas) continues to show he is sound in his technique as expected. The 5-foot-10.5, 160-pounder will be one of the last in the class to develop physically, and that provides him a high-ceiling. He has offers from South Carolina, Florida State, Louisville, Cincinnati, Penn State, Purdue and Rutgers.

The son of former NFL defensive back Al Harris Sr. is as feisty as they come. Harris Jr. recorded a pair of interceptions during the one-on-one period at the South Florida stop of the RCS tour in Miami. We liked his physicality in press, but he will need to be careful of his hands while the ball is in the air. Overall, he has the tools to be a good cover guy along with a solid pedigree to boot.

He certainly has the frame to add 20 pounds and at least get upwards of 180 lbs. I'm guessing he would be behind a couple of others we have on the board, and is more of a fall-back if we miss out?
