#18 for USC

In the spirit of C2's post on 71 Arky, I want to send a shout out to #18 Freshman (RS) Cedrick Cooper.

Not much playing time, but when he has gotten it he catches my attention big time. GOES 200% ALL THE TIME!! Watch him on special teams. He is always getting jacked up, and trying to get others jacked up. The man has serious energy and I wish it would just continue to flow and carry on to all his teammates. He goes full blast speed every time he is on the field. You can't coach that, the man loves the game.

A++++++ for effort. Keep it up Cedrick! I love it.

With a number of LB leaving after this year, he will get a serious look this spring. I agree, he does have a non-stop motor....however, he needs another number in the 40's or 50's.

One of my favorite moments from yesterday's game was after our next to last score - just prior to the kickoff, 18 runs out on the field, starts jumping up and down and waving his hands in rythmn to sandstorm. All of the sudden he realized he was on the WRONG side of the fifty, surrounded by Razorbacks.

I couldnt hear him or see his facial expression from my seats, but would have loved to have been able - he whirled around, ducked his head, and sprinted to the right side - looked like a couple of players were giving him a hard time about it.

Great thread Eaddy. Ive noticed Cedric doing this time after time, hustling around the field trying to make the play every time he gets on the field. He is a skinny lil thing though, he needs to pack on about 20 lbs.

for the life of me, i just can't understand what goes through some of you guys minds when you go to post! what the hell does that have to do with this thread? seriously, why would you post something about adams in a thread about cooper?

back on topic, the coaches said that they really had a hard time keeping this guy off the field, and only because of having so many seniors in front of him, has he been limited in playing time. he will be a monster next year, and with other great lb's coming in right behind him!

Mason Harris(#34) was all over the field when he got into the game the other day too. Seemed like every play 34 came flying in from nowhere. Copper is gonna be a good one too.

Cooper would be playing in the 2 deep this year if we had any injury at LB to Bowens, Shaq, Jeffery, or Smith.

Cooper and Lewis will be counted on to take over at the 2 LB spots next year. They both need to spend the offseason getting bigger, faster and stronger and have a very good Spring and Summer.

We will be very young at LB next year.

They showed him on the jumbotron getting fired up before we kicked the ball sometime during the game (3rd quarter maybe). I noticed it and told my friend to look at Cedrick. He was slapping his helmet and rocking out to Sandstorm. Once we kicked it, he ran down field, avoided a couple of blocks and made the tackle on the returner. He must have a knack for getting to the ball carrier, and I can now see why the coaches were discussing last year on whether they should pull his redshirt or not.

I assume you have never seen him up close. He is tall and looks lean from the stands. The dude is a monster. Looks like a body builder.
