It's awkward to think that a conference with SO many teams near the top of the rankings still might not have a team in the MNC. This is why we need a 8 team playoff system.

Sucks... But the only thing that could keep the sec from winning the nc again was an sec team

It also pushes us way down the bowl ladder. We are probably headed to Chick fil a bowl as the 6th SEC team and should face the ACC Champion. :)

I believe any of the 4-9 SEC teams would beat ND and KSU.

They still won't let the SEC have more that two teams in the playoffs I bet.

The only way we end up in the CFA is if Clemson beats us, and they end up in the Sugar Bowl to face the SEC Champion. If we beat Clemson (as I expect)... The CFA is required to take the first ACC team available after the ACC Champion is picked (Florida State in this case).. so they would take Clemson...

The CFA has already stated in the past they do not like rematches, so even though how effed up it sounds, we would get kicked down to a lower bowl if we beat Clemson (Gator Bowl)

Honestly, Ill take the Gator Bowl to kick Clemson's ass...

I'm tired of the SEC (outside of Carolina and maybe LSU). Will be nice to see another team win it for once, though not a fan of any of the potential winners.

Think SC would beat ND and KSU. Have a hard time seeing anyone beating Oregon though.

Can't wait for the play off system to start in 2014. Then the AQ status goes away and it will be based on rankings for the 4 team play off. No longer will you be able to play a cupcake schedule like the ACC and qualify for BCS bowls.

Oregon is gonna win the national championship... Unless K-State gets upset in their last 2 games, and ends up playing Georgia or Bama...

Only an SEC defense will be able to keep Oregon in check.... Notre Dame and K-State have no chance of slowing the Ducks down.

I don't think anyone in the SEC would be able to keep Oregon in check, to be honest. Granted, it would be different in a bowl situation with a month to prepare. Maybe we'll see differently the next few weeks as Oregon plays the tougher part of their schedule, but hard to see anyone beating them this season.

Exactly, it's nice to be ranked in the top 10 but when you are number 6 in your conference it still sucks.

Did you not see the Oregon- Southern Cal game last week??? Oregon has no defense. Souther Cal hung 50 on then in a loss.

This is the same ole same ole for Oregon . . . They had the same high profile offense in 2010 and ran into an SEC defense in the National Championship game and scored what, one touchdown agiants Auburn.

Still hoping the voters will make adjustments over the last few weeks like they did a couple of years ago when it looked like an overrated Boise St team might actually make the NC game . . . the "human" pollsters dropped Boise State down enogh to get them out of the top two.

I believe that after all the dust settles, we will still see a 1 loss SEC team in the NC game this year, even if there are still two or three unbeatens left.
