So how exactly did he run away? The way I see it he was attacked from behind by the 15 crew.

Its the boys have it, fist to cuffs is part of NASCAR's history its part of the sport. Its like stopping bench clearing in baseball or fights in hockey its just unAmerican.

I agree in part with this tater. I don't watch much these days, to PC for a redneck born sport, but Gordon got a taste of what he deserved for that.

Watch Gordons team (Including JJ) get fined for that shot.

Its a poor argument. International Hockey without fighting is as good or in the case of olympic hockey better than the NHL. Wrecking isn't racing, at least in other series you get penalized for avoidable contact.

^If you did what Gordon in the F1, Indy, and the rest of the fofo racing leagues the car falls apart. Gordon didn't bump, hit, nudged or smacked Bowyer, he rubbed him and rubbing son is racing.

It's low down shit racing is what it is, not necessary. Moving someone out of the way is what happens when you run out of talent.

And if you really want to go there IndyCar is much better to watch on a 1.5 mile track right now than NASCAR.

Never heard of the bump and run? So that is crap racing too? Keep your Indy racing I'll take big boy NASCAR anyday of the week. Indy is the ACC of racing while NASCAR is the SEC.

Yes the bump and run is shitty racing. It's not required to have good racing, there is "rough" racing and then there is taking folks out. The later is crap for folks who like wrecks not racing.

If you want to attack IndyCar I'll just say this, the Daytona 500 will always be the little brother to the Indianapolis 500. The three most important races in the world, The GP of Monaco, 24 Hours of LeMans, Indy 500. Daytona 500 is probably 4th but clearly behind those three.

You couldn't be more wrong about this. I've raced stock cars. Some tracks dont allow you to take another way around. You have to move them. I've raced on those tracks.

Also you mig have all the talent in the world. But if you don't have a car that is better then the person in front of you, then you have to move them outta the way.

If you don't have a car that is better than them then you shouldn't be in front of them. It's not their fault you qualify for shit and have a shit car, or cant drive for shit on restarts or cold tires, or what ever other excuse is out there. Defending is just as much a skill as attacking.

I understand all the NASCAR you see is Pocensnore, but a very good driver like Gordon, Johnson, Stewart, and the like drivers can pull a bump and run and not put someone in the wall all it is getting up on the bumper and loosen the grip on the car and go around, a real hard thing to do properly. Here is another Indy pitstops take no freaking talent unlike the real athletes who do pitstops in NASCAR.

Also, I don't watch NASCAR anymore. I used to watch every race. I wasn't alive in the 80s but I've watched as many old races as I can. And NASCAR was at its best then.

Specially with the Dale Earnhardt, Darrell Waltrip rivalry going on. Two of the best to ever drive.

I understand there is an "art" to it and I don't even blame the guys that do it but its a combination of poor race tracks and a poor rules package that create it and I just personally don't like it and don't think its good racing. You do and thats fine, difference in opinion.

NASCAR pits stops are what they are, holding on to a past tradition... This is a pit stop...

I don't keep up with NASCAR as much as I used to, but I think this whole deal is bullshit.

Gordon didn't wreck Boyer. Boyer tried to pass Gordon on the Apron when he had a lane open on the outside. He wrecked himself.

Then him and his pit crew assault Gordons pit crew and NASCAR officials. Every single one of them should have been taken to Jail in handcuffs, and suspended for next weeks race, and then every crew member, plus Michael Waltrip and Clint Boyer should have to pay a fine.

Gordon does nothing, but gets docked 100 grand and 25 points..but Boyer, who wanted to fight Gordon, gets off without having to pay anything. They fined Keselowski for cussing, but nothing for the guy who said he would kill someone, or his pit crew who all assaulted another pit crew.

This is why NASCAR is losing it's loyal fans left and right.
