2013 Basketball Commits

Are there any commits besides Ringer, Thornwell and McKie for 2013. I saw where Tavario Miller had his OV this past weekend and may commit by late this week.

Ringer 3 star
McKie 2 star
Miller 3 star

Please someone correct and/or add to this post. Our 2013 class is the following:

Ringer
Thornwell
McKie
Johnson (transfer 12-12....eligible to play starting mid December 2013)

For 2014, we have Marcus Stroman committed.

Any changes to the above.

What a talent upgrade from this year. Still lack a true big man, but at least we get some wings who can score.

Don't forget about Geathers - he is a RS this year and should be able to contribute next year, would have played a lot this year if he had been healthy. Like getting another recruit in terms of talent upgrade. If Chatkevicius works hard and improves, we will have plenty of muscle inside along with Ringer and Geathers.

But what we need the most are a few guys that can shoot - Thornwell should be one of those guys, hopefully McKie and Johnson as well. I still have hope for Leonard but the light bulb needs to go off soon.....

I agree on Geathers.....we don't need a big scorer in the middle, just someone that can rebound and block shots....."Enforcer".

I read somewhere that Thaddeus Hall(SF-NY) still wants to be a Gamecock. Working on academics...Does anyone know if he is a possibility for the 2013 season?

13 class is full unless someone leaves the program.

It's very likely that a few of the scholarship players are cut after this season. I don't want to speculate on who or how many, but it does seem likely to me. I just don't see us passing on a really good player because we don't have room.

Unless the SEC has changed their rules lately, he won't be eligible to transfer in until the 2014-15 season. For those that didn't qualify academically, you pretty much have to earn an Associate's Degree from the juco before being able to transfer to an SEC school.
