Post your updates here!
I can take care of Lowcountry totals. After day 5 - USC 82 CU 52 GO COCKS!!!! If someone can give Midlands and Upstate updates or any local drives y'all are having it would be great! This is a great thing where we have fun in the rivalry while doing something that saves lives! |

That would be my guess, but you may not be counted in the totals. Even if not counted, the important thing is to give blood :).
I know here in the Lowcountry we have our "own" that isn't included in the totals that the Universities compile. FWIW, the Gamecocks have won 9 out of the 10 here in the Lowcountry. Here is a link to an article from The State today that has the locations for the Blood Battle. http://www.thestate.com/2012/11/12/2...-carolina.html |

it started on campus yesterday so the numbers of the main one probably won't be that significant
I did donate yesterday, though and did so using the Alyx Component Collection System(which I highly recommend). For those that don't know what it is, it takes twice the amount of red blood cells(and consequentially takes a little longer) than just donating the "normal" way. The recovery time was much less harsh for me in comparison to the last time I donated using the other method. For whatever reason, it seemed that a lot of people didn't want to do it, and I was the only one to sign up for the Alyx method for a while until 3 other guys did. It's a pretty cool/interesting method on top of that, so yeah.. if there's any students on the main campus or satellite campuses, donate for two goods- beating Clemson and helping people who need blood components also, they're having an organ donation thing as well where you sign up for the donation and you add to the total. I had already signed up previously but all I did was just fill out the form again and it counted annnnnnnd that's my PSA of the day |

This is a contest where even the loser, is a winner. It's a great thing both schools do.

Did my part today! Went as soon as they opened at 10 and was done by 11. Finished as soon as they brought out the Chick Fil A nug trays. I didn't hate it.
