2014 Prospect

6-1 170 SS Bradley Dixon out of Emerald High School South Carolina. Led his team with a .439 batting average and recorded 6.5 60 time as sophomore and is about to begin his junior campain. Word is he grew up a Carolina fan and clemson is on him hard and has already signed his teamate from last year. We NEED this kid, and since we seem to get our pick of anyone we want these days I dont see why we can't get this one.

Found this vid of summer cape cod league in Atlanta where he drops a bomb with a wood bat. Kids got game.

I think we already have a couple shortstops committed for 2014, if he wants to come probably needs to get in touch with our coaching staff

we've had several folks come on and act like scouts trying to promote their kids. i was just asking

Saw this kid play a few games last year and he was extremely impressive.

SS are typically very diverse players who can play multiple positions. especially at the high school level a lot of times your best player gets put at short.

I think we had one year where something like 5 or 6 guys that were every day starters that played short stop either in high school or JUCO.

HS SS is kind of like HS QB, often times they are the best player on the team and get put there as a result. I remember listening to a podcast with someone who had gone to college after being a QB in HS and said the first QB meeting had 14 guys in it and 3 days later it had 5. Heck, the Braves drafted a kid in the first round the other year who was a HS SS and had committed somewhere to play QB in the SEC and he was moved to CF immediately.

I am a from Pendleton and have seen this kid play. You are right. He certainly is a nice looking Prospect. I would advise him or his Coach to contact the Staff at USC.
