Doubtful, he will likley lead the head coach search. Tennessee fans are convinced they are getting Gruden.

Seems I've heard about 5 or 6 schools that have thought they were going to get Gruden over the past few years

I do not see Fulmer coming back. Tennessee needs to move forward, and they can't do that by reaching into the past for a coach.

Besides, how many good years of coaching does Fulmer realistically have left? Fulmer would be a temporary fix at best.

It's just a definite different feeling in the air when you're sitting in Neyland against a team with Dooley on the sidelines and when Fulmer was there.
Granted. Kinda the same with kiffen |

I don't understand the Gruden talk, personally. It makes little sense. He's currently making 4.3 million annually at ESPN.
Either TN would have to pay a minimum of 4.3 million, or he would take a pay cut to take over a high pressure program. For that kind of money, Tennessee could find a guy who has more than than a .540 career winning percentage, right? A Gruden hire = Kiffen 2.0, IMHO.

No, don't bring Fulmer back. And I hope Cutcliffe stays at Duke. He can do some things at Duke that other coachs didn't (with the exception of Spurrier).

As far as the Gruden talk is concerned, he's a QB and WR killer. That man cannot run an offense unless he has a true veteran QB that can put up with his bullshit. He has to be ignored. Just because he came from that West Coast offense, and the Bill Walsh and Mike Holmgren coaching tree he gets to much respect.

Gruden is not a proven coach period. College or pros. He won with dungy's defense. He is an average coach at best. Shit i say give the job to john chavis and then find some young offensive coordinator. Win with defense

I would imagine that Chad Morris would be high on their list. At least he wouldn't have to trash all his orange pants.
