We struggled with a Tenn team that absolutely got taken to the woodshed by Vanderbilt. They also had to go into overtime to beat Troy.

We took care of business against Arkansas, but then Arkansas got absolutely destroyed by Miss State yesterday.

We struggled against Wofford. Not as big of a deal that they got their yards. We all knew that was going to happen. But their defense doesn't play the triple option and we only scored 17 offensive points. Lets be honest, no one on this board expected us to only score 17 offensive points against Wofford.

If I was a Clemson fan, I would be pretty confident as well. I love our team and I know the players bust their ass. But we are not playing right now like we were earlier in the season.

You do realize there was a pick in the red zone and Mike Davis fumbled what would have been a touchdown? We left a lot of points on the field. Poor execution and focus yesterday, but not an indication of reduced capability. The boys were asleep yesterday. We scored 38 on TN and AK. We're capable. OLine is the biggest concern. The only stat that matters at the end of the game is the score and this year we've been the best in that category 9 out of 11 times. Need to run the ball well, grind it out and get some stops on D, possibly some points; same story as the last 3 years. Remember Spiller, Davis, Watkins, Boyd? What happened? Won't be easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is. GO COCKS!!!!

Don't let the wofford game pull you into a mental trap. We played a very conservative playbook against Wofford, and didn't show anything we haven't tried yet this season. The most "fun" play was Ace's pass, but we've done that play twice before. We let clemson see what we wanted them to see.

HOWEVER, we are banged up at key positions. Shaw is clearly hurt, Clowney is as well, Ellington banged up his hand and even Swearinger came up a little gimpy at the end of the game. This game is in clemson. They are coming off 3 straight losses to us...and we haven't even been cordial about it. They've won 10 cupcake games this year, but they can move the ball. Their defense still sucks though. This is going to be a dog fight and we are going to need to have one of our best games to pull this out. This isn't going to be as easy as the last 3 years.

What does something somebody else said have to do with what we are able to do? Nothing. Clemson has some great skill players, but it's not going to matter when they're getting dominated down after down in the trenches. Nothing they've seen so far this year has remotely prepared them to face a legit SEC defense. It'll be a jarring adjustment for them and they'll have to completely change their approach to have a chance. We've all seen this movie before.

I hear ya, but would you rather be Boyd up against Clowney and Co. or Shaw up against clemtech's front 4/7? I have a feeling that Shaw and the offense will get us enough points to win. Sustained drives are the key, and if the sad teams in the ACC can sustain drives on the taters, then so can we.

I had to leave the ESPN Conversation for that game because Clemson fans were just too damn annoying. On top of the majority thinking they will win this game easily, they really think they not only have a great team, but have had a great season, despite having lost to the only good team they have faced so far. One even claimed they achieved a major accomplishment in winning a share of an ACC division title.

They just announced the stations today. The times were announced last week, but ESPN wanted to see how teams did yesterday before deciding what games will be on what channel.

Our players don't need to turn to disrespectful quotes from Clemson players/coaches for motivation this year. All they need to do is read the whiny, bitchy, negative BS from their own fans on this site.



Unlike so many on this site, I believe in our players.

I also believe that Clemson is overrated (as they are virtually every year), due to the joke of a conference and joke of a schedule that they play against. Their win over unranked N.C. State was arguably their most high "quality" win of the season. Wow...impressive. Our boys destroyed and humiliated the #3 team in the country.

I will give Clemson this: Their fans, as a whole, are infinitely more positive than ours. The negativity here (not by all, of course, but by far too many) makes me want to puke my guts out.

For the first time this year, I don't think we aren't going to beat the taters. The offense is out of sync, Shaw is beat up....the defense isn't playing as well the last few weeks, poor tackling, breakdowns in coverage, and not sure if Clowney is 100%. I think we'll shut them down
somewhat, but I am really concerned. I realize the only ranked team they've played, they lost. We've only played 3 ranked teams and we're 1 and 2.....although those we 3 in a row including 2 on the road. We haven't played well on the road all year. I just don't have the same level of confidence I did earlier this year.
