Not A Good Start to a Really Big Week

Just because they will play doesn't mean they will not be limited. You are crazy if you don't think this is a big deal. Having a healthy Clowney is completely different than having one that hasn't been able to practice in three weeks and has only been able to play sparingly.

I know some of you think that Spurrier is just playing "mind games," etc. but I am not sure what past behavior by Spurrier gives you that indication. Spurrier has never talked about injuries before or tried to make excuses for injuries.

This is the first time I have heard him seem genuinely concerned on a media call about injuries.

Usually Spurrier says "we are pretty healthy for this time of year," etc.

They apparently do not practice him much until Wednesday or Thursday, and I guess during those days is when they really go over the gameplan for the opponent that week. So what Spurrier said in his post-game presser isn't new. It's just that by Thurs. the coaches will have a better idea if Clowney will be prepared and ready to play meaningful snaps vs CU.

Same thing with Connor....we are a pretty gimpy team right now....

Clowney is always in attendance at practice, but he hasn't practiced for real in about a month or so. And when he has played, he has still looked pretty good. Nothing to see here.

We haven't had a "healthy Clowney" in probably a month or more and I haven't noticed much of a difference- he has still been a dominant play maker so sorry the Clowney issue is not a big deal. As far as Shaw, I know that Shaw has been injured for a while now, but I do feel like he may have aggravated his injury last Saturday and could be even more hampered vs Clemson than usual. That was a nasty limp he had vs Wofford. It seems like he has been able to handle the pain thus far though and if he can just push through it this last game then he will have plenty of time to set his foot up and get it healed up.

We are a good team, up one side and back down the other. You can bet your ass that Shaw, Clowney and everyone else will be on deck at Memorial Stadium. All the pressure is on Pickens County, not us.

I heard that Clowney really hasn't practiced since the LSU game. so that shouldn't worry you too much. He will do his thing. But he hasn't been 100% in a while.
