I'm in need of some advice...I've got one TE on my roster right now, Gronk.

This is a huge issue, because I'm riding a soon to be 7 game winning streak, and will be taking over the top playoff seed when I pull into a tie with the #1 team in the league with a win tonight (assuming Frank Gore doesn't get him 40 points).

With my league's crazy modified scoring system, I'm averaging 180 points a game and giving up around 140. I lead the league in points scored as well as fewest points allowed...I've put up over 200 three times with a high game of 242.

All this is going to come screeching to a halt if I can't find a suitable replacement for Gronk. Several guys in my 10 team league like to play two TEs (one in the Flex), so the free agent pool is pretty shallow when it comes to the position. Acceptable FA options right now are: Brandon Meyers (Oak), Jared Cook (Ten), or Dwayne Allen (Ind)...But, my best free agent option is probably Aaron Hernandez...but the risk reward for picking him up as my only TE is really high. My other option is to trade for a TE. I'm absolutely stacked at the RB position (CJ2K, AP, Lynch, CJ Spiller, AND Alfred Morris), and would give away Morris and probably Spiller for a top shelf starting tight end. I've also got Steve Johnson, Felix Jones, and Daniel Thomas collecting dust on my bench. I've got some options to make a huge trade with someone, I just don't know who I should target, or if I should just grab a free agent and try to make things work. As it stands in my league, Gronk was averaging ~19 points a week, and taking too big of a hit there will probably lead to me losing my grip as the top team.

Let me hear your advice, please!

I benched RG3 because of the hype surrounding Carson Palmer agaisnt the Saint's poor secondary, and because articles have been floating around online advising RG3 owners to trade him. Well, that was a let down. He racked up 40 points and Carson only had 20. I am in a close battle with Jamie61190, and need Brandon Marshall to have at average game or worst tonight for me to win.

Pick up Hernandez if he is on the waiver wire. Once he is back healthy he will be racking up decent numbers.

Yeah, that's what I want to do, but I can't afford for him to not play this weekend...I'm playing the guy who is second in my division, and he beat me in our last game by 4 points. So, it's more than likely going to go down to the wire. If I pick up Hernandez and he sits, then I basically spot the dude ~10 points.

I could always grab him off waivers and make a trade around Wednesday if the news is that he isn't going to play.

Also, this is only the 3rd year I've played, and I didn't make the playoffs in 2007 the last year I had a team. Is it in my best interest to pick up decent backups to play week 17 for guys like Peyton Manning that will probably be on the bench because they've got their playoff spot wrapped up?

Edit: Our playoff bracket is 4 teams and 2 weeks per round, weeks 14-15 for rd 1 and 16-17 for the championship.

Priority number one is getting to the playoffs/championship. If you make it to the championship, then you need depth in case a player is benched because his team has home field advantage. Who is your backup QB? And are the Broncos in contention to having home field advantage deep in the playoffs?

No one in my league seems to bite on any WR offers I've been putting out there. My depth at the position is stupid. Help me out on who to start this week. This is a big $ league. Standard scoring, no PPR, etc. QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, WR/RB, TE, D, K:

QBs : Manning, Luck
RBs: Peterson, Spiller, Reece, DMC, Andre Brown
WRs: Roddy, Demaryius, VJax, Cruz, Crabtree
TEs: VD, Rudolph

I'm second in my league (1 game behind) because the guy in first has the most insane luck in pairing up with teams on their worst weeks. I need to keep winning to keep up with a chance at #1.

So this week is a win and I'm in deal. I'm playing the number 2 team in the league who has already wrapped up their spot in the playoffs. They are willing to throw the match to get me in. Is this a wrong thing to do? Also one of the people I would need to lose opponent didn't set their lineup. I feel this is semi wrong to do but if the other person is willing to do it I think that's their decision.

Just won my 6th straight matchup, went from 4th in week 8 to 1st this week. Garcon gave me 16 points to scrape out a win on Monday two weeks in a row. Going to enjoy the bye this week of the playoffs.

Won the first round of the playoffs in one of my leagues last week by four points!
Won three straight in another league at the end to earn the #2 seed and a bye week in the playoffs.
And I need a win this week to keep a spot in the playoffs for another league, which starts next week.

Injuries this year have been costly to me. LeSean McCoy, Darren McFadden, Aaron Hernandez, Big Ben, and Danny Amendola all hurt on the same team. I picked up the Jags RB on waivers two weeks ago instead of going after Bryce Brown (before he blew up), and that was a mistake. Might cost me the championship because the only healthy RB I have now is Doug Martin - but I did pick up Ballard off waivers this week. Another league I have Forte, D-Mac, Ryan Mathews, and Big Ben - again, more injury issues.

The league I am #2 in is a PPR league, and I went WR, WR, WR with my first three picks. Where as, the #1 seed player went RB, RB, RB. That one is always the most competitive and active league. Also, a couple of Cockytalk members are a part of it.
