Gotta let the dust settle a little bit before we overreact here. Not saying it isn't something to be worried about, but it's not a done deal. I'm sure the coaching staff is on it, I just hope that we haven't been lazy in keeping in touch with our other options if Langley ultimately does not choose to be a gamecock.

At least it isn't Mitch or L. Bryant the ones considering leaving because those two guys are our most valuable recruits this year. BUT, I do have a feeling Langley will stay. Nothing to back it up, just a feeling.

Are we so sure? Funny how people say its a foregone conclusion. Looking at his Twitter account, he was tweeting as a gamecock would.

Retweeting Coach Mangus...inviting another player to SC. (Now SC could mean state championship, but I doubt it). Sure his boys back in GA are trying to flip him, and it looks like he's enjoying the recruiting period...but to say he's definitely gone is waaaaaay premature.

I just looked at his Twitter page and seeing what he tweeted YESTERDAY, I think he stays. (see below)

First of all don't post someone's fb or tweets on here. Secondly, look above that and his tweets with the Georgia commits about how much he loves them. He isn't tweeting the USC commits how much he loves them. Finally, go look at shaquille Wiggins twitter, he is a DB and he said tonight he got a call from coach Brown and asked where the gamecock fans are at. Anybody that follows our recruiting knows we only have a few spots left and were done at DB. If we reached out to another DB then addition by subtraction means we are losing one.

He's got a legit shot at playing here next year, especially if Hampton leaves. You would think that would figure into the equation somewhere.

Hampton has no business leaving. He needs to be much better to be selected high in the Draft.

My preliminary feel is either he is going to take his USC OV and cancel to UGA visit or he is going to take the Georgia OV and flip.

If he was still "ours", he would at least make an attempt to come to campus or just take his OV to USC in December and enroll.

It would be different if he was just taking trips to a bunch of other schools just for the hell of it but returning to the same school over and over is ridiculous.

Gotta give the UGA staff credit for staying after him.

He has gone to UGa games almost every weekend for the past 2 seasons. That didn't stop him from committing to us. He tells everyone who will listen he likes how we develop DBs for the next level and that he is still committed to us. I'm willing to think he means what he says.

Cb Steven Nelson decomitted from UGA and that's why Langley cancelled his visit to USC and went to UGA. Looks like UGA basketball is also in the mix for Langley. Would be a huge loss if he switches.

Victor is only a soph......he will be around for at least one more year.

He might be eligible, but he's not really draft worthy yet. According to some of the draft projection sites, they don't even have Hampton down as a possible prospect. IMO, he'll be here until he graduates. He'll probably be a 4th or 5th round pick.

I think with Nelson decommiting he's just reviewing his options. He might just be trying to add hype about him until NSD. I hope he stays with USC, but if he doesn't we still have some great CB's for next year.
