The computer ranking is only 1/3 of the formula for the bcs standings, 1/3 harris poll (which is a joke), and the coachs poll (which is also questionable at best). The computer actually has us 9th and the human polls both have us 12th.

It is when that's your only loss of the season and you can count wins over teams who have actually beaten someone. Remember strength of schedule includes how your opponents have performed as well. So Florida gets credit for beating LSU and A&M and Georgia gets credit for beating the team that beat LSU and A&M. Not to mention we all know the best formula for surviving a loss is to lose early and get it out of the way which is what UGA did. The later in the season you lose the worse off you are in the human component.
