What happens?

Brenton's playing really well..as is LaShay. Brian Richardson's been good off the bench. Damien Leonard's been alright. Eric Smith is ok. There just seems to be too many guards, and playing Bruce a bunch of minutes could throw somebody's production off..

We all need to worry more about Bruce showing up Sat. in Pickens and being healthy and effective before BB, I think he would agree.

Re-read what I wrote. I'm more so asking if playing Bruce is worth it, if it means a decline in someone's production right now, i.e. Brenton, Richardson or LaShay.

Right now Frank with the injuries/suspensions is playing an eight man rotation:

Smith / Williams
Williams / Richardson
Page / Leonard
Lakeem / Kacinas
Slawson / Kacinas

Once Carrera gets healthy, and Chatkevicius comes back from suspension, and Bruce comes back, what's it gonna be?

Keep in mind that through three games Brenton Williams is averaging:

16.7ppg
48.4%field
42.9%three
1.000%FT

and Page is averaging:

17ppg
42.5%field
33%three

Bruce is an alpha. If someone has his spot he'll raise his play to just take it. No slight on anybody else. It's just the mentality for an athlete like Bruce.

I think the toughness he has from playing football will translate nicely with Frank. I think he'll come back and make an immediate impact, at least on the defensive side.

We absolutely gotta have Bruce's ball handling. That is a must. There is no one on that Team right now that can bust a press like Bruce. I cannot wait to see what Martin does with him.

Agree, that is the biggest plus having him come back. I've only seen one game, but in that game getting the ball up the floor was an issue. Smith can get it done, but after that we struggle.

Page, Ellington, and Williams provide us with 3 of the better scoring guards in the SEC. We can have a poor man's Xavier type team once we get everyone back in January.

Bruce will have to shoot better than he did last year and not throw wild shots up while driving to the basket. With Martin coaching him up, he will improve.

I agree. In addition, Bruce will be the best defender of the 3 guards.

I could deal with that, but on the other side, Frank was REALLY HIGH on Eric going into the season. Not sure he's giving up on him just yet.

Smith's been bad through three games. Williams, LaShay and Richardson have all outplayed him.
