![]() Connor didn't really throw to Alshon until the Citadel/Clemson/Nebraska stretch, and he hardly shined passing the football before that stretch except against a horrendous Kentucky team in his first start.

![]() Oh and before anyone says this. I don't think shaw has lost us any ga,es by himself either. No question that Garcia was more turnover prone.
But I think our results are because our team as a whole is better than our Quarterback play. |

![]() You can make legitimate arguments for and against Conner Shaw, I suppose, and still be correct. It's no secret that he's most successful when he can frustrate a defense with his legs. Nothing pisses off defenses more than watching Connor Shaw run to the first down marker and out of bounds, effectively negating their good coverage. Demoralizing.
But, the man is hurt. He just is. You could clearly see it was affecting him during the Wofford game. And, on top of that, our tackle play was friggin awful. It was embarrassing how easily Wofford's DEs were getting to Connor. That. Shouldn't. Happen. "It is what it is" f'n A right. So we'll just support Connor because he's our guy, aight? AND, I happen to think he's going to have a big game against the Upsala tiglets @ the Great Urnge Litter Box and we'll be singing his praises once again. So tough! What a leader! What a gamer! Beast mode! Klemmy's defense is good for what ails ya. Now if our D-line can take care of business and punch Boyd in his mouth a few times (figuratively speaking...of course) then I think C-Shaw and Co. will take care of bid'ness. I do. And if I'm wrong, well then I'll come back here and take my medicine. But I won't be. Beast mode!

![]() Because he 's smart took what defenses gave him. After lattimore went down last year, most teams put Alshon in double coverage taking a man out of the box. That allowed CS beat them with his feet because the coverage was soft underneath. He was also very judicious when he did throw the ball. He made smart decisions and didn't turn the ball over that often. We scored just enough to win, and put the weight of our limited scoring on our lights out defense. It's not flashing, but it won us ballgames last year. The most in school history. I'd classify that as successful.

![]() The real problem is that Spurrier says this after every damn game and nothing changes.

![]() Get me an O line that blocks pass rushers for 3-5 seconds, and opens holes for the RB 85%, and some WR's that can get open within 1-3 seconds 85% of the time, then we can get on shaw if he isn't performing, until then we need some better blocking and better play by the WR. The offense as a whole is lackluster except maybe RB and TE. I'm not going to evaluate Shaw until the line, and WR do their job.. Shaw is having to worry about a DE,LB, or CB in his face every other play.

![]() connor shaw is a tough son of a bitch who has a warriors heart, but dude has played QB 4 years.one of those years he saw very limited action.Garcia was an gunslinging QB who took chances as where shaw doesnt.you dont throw to many interceptions if you dont throw the ball.Connor has left a world of plays on the field for a number of reason. Not all his fault, but quite a bit of them are.i love the kids heart though but hes average

![]() Todd Ellis...22 wins in games started.
Shaw has 16, FYI (8 last season, 8 this season).

![]() If Shaw is in such pain that he can't play the way we need him to, shouldn't he stop telling the coaches that he can play through it? Ya know, since he obviously can't, well, not and be any good anyway. I'm beginning to think he's a little selfish. We could be way better off this weekend against Clemson had Shaw said he needed to rest instead of trying to be a "warrior".

![]() I think the biggest thing is that he is hurt. Say what you will about his performances yay or nay when he is 100% healthy, but right now, at this moment, he is hurt. He is 1/2 the quarterback that he is supposed to be and that just won't do.
Him refusing to recognize it is just as much fault as Spurrier is for not telling him to sit down against an FCS opponent. |

![]() Saying that Connor Shaw has "topped out" this year makes no sense. How can you logically assume that you've seen 100% of what someone's capable of when it's only their 2nd year as a collegiate starter and he's been hampered with injuries all year. I would love to hear one logical point behind that statement.

![]() I don't 'underrate' Connor for a minute. Absolutely love the guy. That being said, I will certainly point out when he, or anyone else, is not playing at the best of his ability. No bashing. If someone is getting the job done, let's recognize it. When someone is not getting the job done, let's not sugarcoat reality.
Coach said Dylan is ready to go, so if Connor can't get it going due to injury, or whatever, plan on seeing DT.
