Why would anyone want Gruden as their College coach?

He hasn't coached in a long time. He has no college coaching experience. He has never been on the recruiting trail. He will also bring a west coast offense with him that has failed amazingly at this level.

I think our next coach is on this list below. I have no idea who Hart will pick or who will pick us but this seems to be the candidate pool we are working with.

Mike Gundy
Jim Mora Jr.

Jimbo Fischer
Charlie Strong
Jon Gruden
Bob Stoops
Dan Mullen

I put those in no particular order...I am keeping Gruden on Stoops on there because I know they are going to be/have been contacted so they were at least somewhat of a legit candidate.

If I had to put money on three I would guess one of Al Golden, Charlie Strong or Jim Mora Jr.

Out of those names I'd say UT has a legit shot at Strong, Golden, or Mullen. I don't really know why you'd want Mullen though.

Heard UT already offered him $5.3 million a year. Not sure why he would want to leave a comfy announcing gig that pays $4 million for the stress of a being a college HC.

I don't see it either Hog, but supposedly he isn't getting the facility upgrades he wants and he is fed up with the ACC.

I think he is just leveraging himself right now though.
