Hoping Carrera can return for today's game to get some more PT in before the tournament in Mexico. Looking at Elon, their leading rebounders are 6'10" and 6'8" with 5.8 and 5.3 boards per game respectively. He could have another great day on the glass with this matchup.

If he can't go, at least they (Elon) seem similar to Rider in that they are a smaller team and won't be able to exploit our complete lack of depth on the inside right now.

I completely agree. In some aspect, it makes the Elon loss a little easier to take. The fact we are 3-1 even though we are missing nearly our entire starting frontcourt isn't bad. A game like this was bound to happen at some point. I don't think a majority of teams could have survived losing their starting PF and C and for this long and remained undefeated.

At some point you need that size for tough rebounds and key defensive stops inside and we just don't have the depth for it. When they both come back (not to mention the addition of Ellington approaching), I really feel this team will be light years ahead of last year's team by the end of the season.
