Some of us choose to work holidays to help out the ones with families. I, for one, am taking these extra shifts tonight so that someone with children doesn't have to spend their holiday sitting in an ER. I feel that since I don't have children, the celebrations aren't as important to me. I'd rather know that little Suzy and billy get to spend the holidays with their parents. Until I have kids, that'll be me. Waiting at the ER for one of you people celebrating to get hurt or sick, then I'll enjoy my holiday the way it was intended to be......cracked open chests, vomit on my scrubs, and a suture kit in my hand! Happy thanksgiving.

My daughter works at Starbucks and they're staying open all night long tonight to serve the early Black Friday shoppers. She has to be there at 5:30am.
