Who will be the next to join the SEC?

I like WVU, honestly i was disappointed when we took Mizzou over WVU.

If the SEC goes to 16 will it just be two divisions with one permanent out of division rival. I don't really see anything else working because Bama wants to play Tennessee every year and Auburn, UGA.

Here is the funny thing about this...The SEC appears to be a bunch of pansies because they don't have enough hair on their asses to bring in the best schools competitively like FSU, Clemson and even Louisville because you don't want the competition...talk about TV markets, but split-tails is all that comes to mind

What new markets does FSU, Clemson, and Louisville bring in? None this all about markets getting into NC, VA, and DC are huge moves. aTm is more competitive than the schools listed. Mizzou will get there they might be like USC and Arky took a long time to get competitive year in and year out. Schools like UNC, NC State, and VT can be 100x better if they were in the SEC having access to best players in the Southeast, they love their football and they could make massive strides in upgrading their facilities. Look at what USC has done in the last decade a brand new baseball stadium that rivals most AAA teams, massive upgrades at the Brice and surrounding areas, new tennis facilities, new softball field, the Dodie and the other upgrades, all of this was paid for by the income the SEC brings in.

Hard to "bring in" the best schools when they already reside here.

Did you forget the conference has won 2 of the last 3 baseball championships, 3 of the last 7 NCAA mens basketball titles & oh yeah 6 BCS football trophies in a row?

Currently the SEC has 6 teams in the top 12 of the BCS. Do we have to talk about other sports -- cause statistically, you'd be wrong there too.

Don't forget that we brought in Texas A&M and Mizzou. While they bring in Syracuse and Pitt. Not hard to see which teams are of better quality.

I cant believe you are really taking a jab at the SEC. The ACC is absolutely terrible other than 2 teams. Please tell us your schedule over the last 4 weeks. Its cool to talk trash man but atleast bring some logic with it.

What is really funny is that Clempson agreed with USC to leave the ACC the same day and asked us to hold a morning announcement and they would hold one in the afternoon, instead of a joint announcement.

The ACC people (aka UNC/Duke) heard about this and threatened to turn Clempson into the NCAA for another round of recruiting violations and they backed out without so much the decency to tell USC they had changed their minds. Our fault for believing one word Clempson had promised.

If Clempson had followed through and left, it is highly possible they would have gotten our slot in the SEC. Now, it would take an act of Congress for them to get in because expansion is and always has been about expnding the footprint and viewership ($$$). Clempson adds zip in those regards, while NC State and VT, for instance would do both.

Oh I know. Move Mizzou and Vandy to the West, with Auburn and Alabama to the East. Sure the East would collectively crap their pants. But then the UT/Bama and UGA rivalries are preserved, you could do away with the cross division rivalries, or reorder them to keep the UT Vandy rivalry. This would also allow the Vandy Ole Miss rivalry to continue. Auburn would also get its historical rivalries back with UT and UF.
