Special Teams

How about the job that our special teams did tonight? Dominated that part of the game. Adam Yates deserves a game ball. Plain and simple. Shut their kick return down by booming kickoffs all night. Drilled some long field goals as well. Yates has developed into a strength of this team this year.

Tyler Hull had some nice punts as well. Can't remember them having any returns on punts.

Return game. Ace Sanders is a freakish athlete on punts. He set the tone for the night with his first return. Didn't get another after that but a big return to start.

Victor Hampton and Bruce had 2 nice kick returns as well. All around Carolina dominated the game in special teams.

All that was made about Clemson's offense, but you can't reinvent the game of football. No matter what, defense and special teams wins games. And Carolina dominated it in those 2 parts. It was so sweet being there last night. They were so jacked up and we just went in there and shut it down. Great night to be in garnet. Go Cocks!!!!

No doubt! I was very upset in the first half of the season, especially about the kicking game. Epic turnaround!

Special teams was awesome tonight. Maybe some people will back off the Special Teams ledge now.

Kicking game was impressive. They still need to block a little better on returns but I'll take it. ST was on tonight and did their part.

I am glad we decided to just put kickoffs through the end zone instead of pooch kicks that land on the 5. Better late than never.

Did Ace get 30 yards on his first punt return? If so, then he broke the single season (regular season) punt return yardage record set in 1971!
