Cotton Bowl?

CFN is predicting that the Gamecocks will face Oklahoma State in the Cotton Bowl (with A&M going to the Chick bowl to beat-down Clemson and LSU to the Outback).

I think they take aTm or LSU. Just makes too much geographical sense.

I can't see that. I can really only see Texas A&M going to the Cotton Bowl to play Texas.

Yea I saw last night Texas v ATM in cotton. Lsu v Clemson in chick fila and us v northwestern. However, I do think we could handle ok st. Those offenses always look fantastic when they don't go up against any defense. Plus they aren't last years ok state

UGA in the Chic bowl makes sense to me. LSU= sugar, A&M=Cotton, Gators = Cap One, USC = Outback.

This.... And remember, College Football News picked against us 5 times this year...they are usually wrong, and definitely wrong about us going to Dallas....

A&M is a lock for this IMO

Florida will have an automatic BCS bid being in the top 3. (SEC champ game loser will fall below them)

From this year on if aTm isn't a BCS team but still has a great record they will be in the Cotton Bowl.

You beat me to it...

It makes more geographical sense for Cotton to pick a West team. More fans, so Dallas gets more $. Its a long drive to Dallas, and a flight to DFW is not cheap. I'd be fine with the Outback.

LSU won't go because there to close and a lot of people will drive to the game so Hotel and resturants won't get the buisness that they would expect. aTm makes the most sense, close enough to drive but not the same day.

The aggies want revenge on Texas given how they got jobbed by the refs in their last Big 12 matchup ever last year. That would be a huge game for the Cotton and A&M would kill them. Texas is not good. They only go to the Cotton because of geography. Living in Houston, I would love to see us in the Cotton, I just don't see it happening.

Quite honestly, A&M is the second best team in the SEC right now. Great coaching job by Sumlin.
