Would Clemson leave the ACC for Big 12?

Dabo said at the beginning of the year that joining the BIG 12 would be the worst thing Clemson could do because they are the ACC. Question now is, does Clemson bolt to the BIG 12 or does Clemson remain in the ACC to give an impression of being the powerhouse of a conference like Boise State?

If they want to be a part of the new mega conferences then they will leave for the Big 12, otherwise they will be left in the dust and will only have a chance at the National championship when the playoff system goes to 8 games.

So how would an ACC team get into the playoffs even with 8 teams? Take a look where the top ranked ACC team will be this week, 20 maybe?

In my honest opinion, Clemson needs a change if they want to become legitimately competitive again instead of just dominating such a weak conference.

Yeah I can will agree with this. The problem is the options (which is the Big XII) is not overly great. The closest school in that conference is West Virginia begin 500 miles, with the average distance of the conference schools as a whole being roughly 1000 miles. This might work for football, but for all sports there are going to be some travel issues.

if those moves indeed came to pass it would leave clemson miami and unc as top level fb teams. with that and their ooc schedule, they should always win 11.

I think you've brought up one thing that isn't discussed enough when realignment is the topic. But WVU is currently dealing with the situation you mentioned. If they can do it, I think Clemson can. And that would give both schools at least one opponent that is closer than the vast majority of the rest.
