Apparently Bobby Petrino really really wants the job. A friend in the Athletic department said that Petrino met with Slive a few weeks ago. Slive said that he didn't want Petrino back in the SEC. Petrino apologized for his escapades and promised that it was all behind him. Slive asked which school he'd be interested in if Slive gave his blessing. Petrino supposedly replied Auburn. The fan base is split on Petrino. One half are the sort that would sell their souls for another national championship, while the other are on the moral high ground.

Other names mentioned are Malzahn, Fisher, Stoops, a few others.

How this impacts us:

I think we move up for Greg Bryant if we still want him.
Super distant chance this helps us get more interest form Mont Adams.
Then there will be some 2014 recruits, but we'll see who they bring in.

This move helps uga and bama the most with recruits. I'm predicting that bama will get more heat about taking away offers from commits or asking them to gray shirt to pick up auburn's to commits who want to switch. uga will make a push for Adams and Trey Johnson as well as their DE commits.

This will be fun to see the meltdown.
