Honestly, when they were going through the list of in state guys we've gotten, clemson wasn't really in it with any of them except gilmore. It's usually trying to keep LSU, UGA, UF and or BAMA out of our house. Most kids we get wouldn't consider an ACC team under any circumstances.

We have zero shot at Adams.

The 2013 class is all but done, I doubt this game changed any of those guys' minds.

It will continue to pay dividends in 2014 and 2015 though.

The game was a good example of the choice between a team that needs help immediately and a team that will help you develop into a top-level player and prospect. The difference in the strength and conditioning programs showed as the game wore on. A lineman or linebacker should have seen it clearly. A skill player might wonder how productive it would be to play for a team of 4 stars behind an OL and DL that gets beat when playing top level competition.

UGA is actually trying to sign 36 players, with 11 EE and 25 LOIs.

Yeah...we're currently playing with about 68 or 70 scholarship players and we're expecting at least 2 (probably 3) players to leave early to go along with the seniors who are graduating. UGA is looking at a MASSIVE class.

We are right on 85 now and we have 20 seniors. Remember our number for 2013 and 2014 is 82. There is always some juniors that may go pro, some that transfer, and a few of the ones we sign this year may not have the grades.

We brought Clifford, Gresham, and DeAngelo Smith out for senior day. Logic means those players will not be back next year - opening up 23 scholarships with the senior class.

Then we'll probably have a few more kids leave the program and some non-qualifiers like we always do.

DL Montravius Adams of Vienna, GA visited Clemson Saturday for the Battle of the Palmetto State. He confirmed that he remains interested in the Tigers and USC. "It was a good game for South Carolina but not so much for Clemson," Adams said. "I still like (Clemson). They played hard." As for USC he said, "I tried to talk to Jadeveon Clowney after the game but he I couldn't find him. I like the Gamecocks too." Adams plans to announce his top five following his season. "We're still playing right now but it'll probably be a couple of days after the season ends," he said. He has not named a leader.

I do wonder if that type of thing is allowed. Let Adams talk to "the man" on the defensive line that he would get to play with for a year. Clowney seems like he's the type of guy that would give his honest opinion and shoot straight with the young man.

Their top DT is also a 3-star who got terrible reviews after hitting one of the combines this summer. Jaquay Williams has already decommitted. Arshad Jackson (TE), Reuben Foster (ILB), Carl Lawson (DE), Dee Liner (DT), Trey Johnson (ILB), and Jeremy Johnson are all rumored to be looking around.
