Just watch the game again and i have to say he played a outstanding game. He was very physical with Sammy "You cant catch a ball" watkins and shut him down. My hats off to him as well as brison williams. He played outstanding as well!!! Go Gamecocks!!!

You know a DB is doing well if you never hear his name. Lol. Watkins got off the bus, trotted down the hill, and checked into the Hampton Inn. He got cozy and stayed there all night.

I just hope Hampton is still here next season. I'm not turning this into a Legree bashing post, because Jimmy has had an awesome year with just a few rough spots here and there, but I kind of chuckle when I think about all the misguided people who kept slamming on Hampton early on and claiming Legree was better. I kept saying a lot of the reason Vic had not had his named called as much as Legree is because teams were probably making it a point to throw away from him, and even Ward commented on that at one point, but people on here persisted with saying things like, "Hampton sucks." (paraphrasing) Anyway, great job by Victor Hampton Saturday night to do his part to shut down the "high-powered" Clemson offense.

Definitely glad that we should have them both back next year to keep receivers in check. With the young guys behind them (Christian, McWilliams, Elder and Moody at CB and Williams, Marcus, Fleetwood and Gurley at Saftey) I think we should have a very talented secondary next year.

Have you seen something new on Hampton? Because I've seen people talking about the possibility of him leaving for the NFL after this season. With the way our luck has gone recently with DBs who even have a glimmer of hope of playing at the next level, I'm more than a little concerned since Hampton has a legitimate shot at becoming a great NFL corner.

Vic was another "thug" per Taters. The #$%$# he was talking was awesome. On the last drive he was standing right on the 50 on the Tigers side of the field and was just standing there and you could tell he was saying something like "is that all y'all got or why you running off the field!" it was hilarious I think he yelled and all 11 offensive players as Dabo through in the towel and punted.

That would kind of surprise me, but I know you have insiders if I remember correctly so who knows..

On the subject:
I hope he stays, but it's not my choice to make. He'll be graded out and if it's not too high I think the coaches will try to pull him back. He could really have a big impact next year and it would be great to have him back there holding it down.
