-Dline we NEED someone to be a space eater opposite Quarles

-LB can make or break the team in the run game.. Pass game they will be fine, but we need these boys to eat more and clog lanes.. they are all fairly quick


I just pray, more than anything.. our OL can get improved and added SEC depth

Next year sets up very well schedule-wise, and I think a lot will depend on how McWilliams and Gurley come back from their injuries. McWilliams is a true cover-corner and Gurley has the talent +fearless attitude that we'll need to replace Swearinger.
Too bad about Rolin, as I think he had the talent to step in and challenge for a spot on the 2-deep at LB. Spur is a major question mark as well. It seems that Bryant is headed for LB, but his size, speed and athleticism seem to make him a perfect fit for spur, assuming he could learn that position quickly.
On offense, we'll be fine. Wilds, Davis + whoever comes back from injury, as well as hopefully David Williams. If Roland drinks enough protein shakes and learns the playbook he may be headed for a bust-out season.

I see a lot of people mentioning Gurley and he was very impressive this year, but isn't it a big question mark whether he'll be able to recover from his injury in time to contribute next year?

1. @ Georgia - we always play them close in Athens--gotta continue to own the Dawgs.
2. @ Arky, @ Tenn, @ Mizzou stretch in October - can we take care of business for 3 straight weeks on the road?
3. home vs Florida to close out the SEC schedule on Nov. 16th - will this decide the East?

LSU may be our biggest ally next year as they play @ UGA on Sept. 28th and host Florida in Baton Rouge Oct. 12th.

Plus Georgia and Florida gives one or the other an L in Jacksonville.

We definitely have the talent to make a serious run at the SECCG & BCS!

OL, LB and DB are the concerns for me. Expect us to win alot of games, compete for the SEC and beat Clemson. Those are standard operating procedure in modern Carolina football.

I get what you're saying, but it's no longer defined as an "expectation" AFTER the fact, is it?

Yea if Hampton comes back I'd feel much better about the secondary. Then we're just replacing DJ and I think Marcus can do that, although I wish Gurley wasn't coming off a bad knee injury. CB should be ok, only losing Auguste for sure.

LB yea big concern here but word is Cooper and Lewis can ball. We'll see what Golightly and Diggs can do at Spur.

OL, well can't get much worse. We only lose Johnson at C. Young OT's should be better next year with 1st year starters Shell and Robinson. Hopefully this will lead to better QB play and running game with a loaded backfield of Wilds, Davis, Carson and Salley.

I don't think losing the four LBs will be as big a loss as some seem to think. Experience is great but quite frankly the group looked slow and unathletic in a number of games this season, especially when you compare them to the athletic freaks that UGA, Bama, LSU, and Florida all run out there at the position.

It will be a downgrade in knowledge and experience that will (hopefully) be made up for by getting better athletes in there.
