Should've been our starting B receiver all year.

Typically our B receivers are taller guys so if Kwinton Smith is as good as advertise, hopefully they are able to get Jones reps elsewhere next year. Seems to me he is smart enough to play all 3 receiver spots but Bubba needs to find ways to get him on the field more because the guy makes plays.

agreed..nick seems to have a good feel for the offense..catches the ball and R.A.C.. as a former receiver here I say if you have to use the "shorter guys space 'em out like Baylor and TTech does so they can have more room to create and it would also create more one one ones and it also removes some of the bodies in the box, hence more running lanes. as we excel at beating man coverage.

sucks that we had a few passes thrown short to him, he could have had a much better game than he did. That's not to say that he didnt show out yesterday though

I believe DL is the only senior, so with the guys that were RS this year, we have lots of options for 2013. We are going to miss Cunningham's blocking next year.

Nick was open numerous times in the Wofford game, but I think Connor only saw and threw to him once.

However, he's an underrated player for us.

Jones is a legitimate threat on the field in his own right. He's another developing micro speedster that will play an increasing role.

This. Dylan and Nick have chemistry because they have been second string for most of the season, so that is why you saw Dylan patiently waiting for Nick to get open and then hit him perfectly on the stride. Connor does like the tight ends, and there is nothing wrong with that since we have studs playing TE. That being said, Dylan throw one of the most beautiful passes I have seen all season to Justice Cunningham in the third quarter, but Justice couldn't hold onto it. It was the one where he threw it over the first defender on Justice, right at Justice's chest.

He can throw it like Ace as well. Threw those same type of passes Ace throws at Byrnes. Could be another wrinkle in our offense.

The only one I have seen him drop is the screen against Missouri.

This guy has always been productive for us. I've never really understood why they couldn't find a spot for him instead of behind DL. Like I said earlier, he is probably smart and experienced enough to play all of the spots.

Guessing the lack of playing time is at least partly because he's the least physically talented of the [regular] WRs. Lacks size and doesn't have the elite quickness that Bruce and Ace have.

But the guy seems to get open and catch the ball, and has done much more with his opportunities than Moore has.

Yeah justice had an off game. Thought nicky might have been able to dig out one or two of those low ones but he played well. Should have been starting over DL at that spot for sure. But Jr. basically said after practice a month ago that DL was playing mainly for blocking.

I have been a Nick Jones fan since his years at Byrnes, and he is my son's favorite player. Another thing that gets overlooked about him but is very important is he is an extremely good downfield blocker...IMO best blocking receiver we have on the team.
