B+. Some great moments like against clemson and uga. But some bad moments as well UT torched us and LSU ran all over us other than that can't really say much. D showed up almost every game.

Definitely in the A-/B+ range. He even said there were some moments that the guys didn't respond the way he wanted them to, but the fact he had them in position every game was very impressive. Listening to him explain their gameplan for clemson you can tell this man schemes every game differently and is really in touch with his guys strengths and weaknesses. Kudos to Botkin and Brown...and Lawing is one of the best around. Extremely solid year imo

We did better with Sacks, TFL's, Rushing Defense. We did a little worse with Passing Defense. We were on par with Turnovers Gained from last year. All of this, and we lost 4 players to the NFL from the previous year, replaced 5 starters, and 2 position coaches. This could have gone MUCH worse. However, our defense was once again near the top in the NCAA on many categories.

B+ His adjustments at halftime have been fantastic... The only game where I saw he had some issues was LSU and Tennessee...

We got out coached/schemed by LSU. The safeties were way too deep in a game when we were not stopping the run.

we had major problems covering the side of a barn in the last few seasons. we have held opposing qbs to an average of less than 200 yards passing all year. our run defense has suffered a little bit, but not a lot. we lost some big time players and have some young guys out there. couldn't have asked him to do a better job. without our defense we have a few more Ls in the column. and this coming from a guy that really wanted Stoops to get the job and was upset Ward got it. |

No worse than a B+. Did a great job against Clemson, UGA, Missouri, and for the most part, Arkansas. UT and LSU were tough to watch sometimes. Still thought he had a pretty darn good year, though.

I would give him a b- to b. I think he has done above avg. for a first time cord. but he also has some dang great talent to work with. Next year will tell me how good he really is.
