I don't really know why the "next year will tell" sentiment is there

it's not like he came from somewhere else and is using other recruiters players..

A+ because I truly believe that when we played poorly against Florida that our defense isn't what fell apart (it was our offense), and I also believe that many of our guys really were playing with the flu, which doesn't keep you from playing if you're a tough S.O.B. but it makes you play like you're moving in slow motion.

I feel that Whammy lived up to his word and gave us a more aggressive defense than Ellis' was. I love it!

The results certainly speak for themselves.

What amazes me is the quality of play of our defensive backs this year. We've tended to be down on these guys and all they have done is perform like pros!

His adjustments at half time of our games this year easily gives him a A. He is beast

Grading on a sliding scale with the rest of the SEC I would give him an A-. Obviously Saban sets the bar pretty high. There were significant improvements in the blown coverage area, but that is probably due to the development of the D-Line. He has a lot to work with, and he delivered.

You have to account holding as major factor in some of these games. At times the line was held and the refs just ignored it, if not looked the other way.

For the season as a whole, I would give him a B to B+. Game for game that would be better or worse depending on what game.

A game like UGA or Clemson, A+.
A game like UT or LSU, C to C+

Would have liked to have been able to give them a chance at Florida

No way, the LSU game our Defense was stout, if anygame we played ugly it would be Florida or LSU.

Tennessee gets rid of the ball so quickly that our D line can hardly be a factor.

Our defense wasn't stout against LSU, they ran the ball wide against us all night. Our defense was stout against Florida only giving up 180 yards. But when you spot them 3 TD's we had no chance.

I give him an A. Our O really hurt the D this year in some games but we held on. Even in the TN game, the D won the game in the end. I would give SOS a B as O coordinator although Connor not having confidence to throw the ball hurt. Nice to see what we can do when Dylan is winging it around the field.

I'll go A-.

LSU just beat us physically, and against Florida we just ran into a stream of bad luck.

Aside from that, he made some nice adjustments during the year. He's also managed personnel very well.
