Not sure who I would want to start but I can see a place for them both. Thompson is a thrower that can run ok and Shaw is a runner that can throw well. Switch them up during the game. Unlike other dual qb teams you will never know if the ball will be thrown or if it will be ran. Throw connor in there and they expect run and throw it down the field. Throw thompson in there and run the ball. A defense will have to practice for both and both can hurt you either throwing or running, in the right play call of course.

Connor has done enough for me to not turn my back on him but dylan is doing a great job. We are lucky to have them both.

Thompson did an outstanding job playing Clemson, but I think Shaw is the better QB in the redzone.

or would you find 2 poor throws (1 happen to be a long gain for a first down) and complain that the balls could have been thrown much better?

One thing that needs to stop is focusing on the amount of points put up in the clempson game. We could have tried to run with them if we wanted and we might have lost, just like the teams that put up 40-something on them. Our game plan was long sustained drives and let the defense work, not try to out score them.

We have a quarterback dilemma, Shaw or Thompson (or Noso or Mitch). These can be good things.

A quarterback controversy is Beecher or Smelly. These are bad things.

We have two qb's, both back next year, that can win. How far we have come.

Remember a couple of the Auburn games a few years back when, and I can't remember his name, had to start and had no chance. I think the next year Syvelle played as well as he possibly could even though he wasn't an SEC qb?

We're in good shape, and practice competition will make all of them better.

i was talking about loyalty from the fans!!!! connor has more than EARNED his spot as the starting qb, and sos has made that clear. here we have a hall of fame coach, who not only actually played qb, but won the heisman doing it, and coached other heisman qb's while winning a national championship. he says connor is the starting qb, because connor gives us the best chance to win, has done it time and time again against great defenses and has a 15-3 career record as a starter. and just to put an extra foot up the ass of this ridiculous push for dylan over him, connor has a way better qb rating (even though he played against much harder defenses) and a much, much better completion percentage. hell, dylan, while playing against terrible defenses, barely has completed 50% percent of his passes.
with all of that said, and in contrast to a hall of fame coach, and all of those accolades, the brilliant internet sports board dweebs, think they know better, and want to claim thompson the better qb and the starter.

So I'm guessing you're just blindly shooting off because I personally would prefer Thompson. If you would have bothered to read the entire 4 sentences I typed, I was all for leaving up to Spurrier. I'm no coach, doesn't mean I can't have an opinion. What are you guys going to do if SOS picks Thompson?
