People tend to put unrealistic expectations on guys coming out of high school. He's been a very solid player for us over the years. But we've added a ton more talent since Spurrier's gotten here and it's tough to stand out. He's a good player and most teams would be ecstatic to have him as a second team LB.

Tore his knee up his senior year if high school lost half a step. Bulked up a bit and was a an sec back up could have been starting at an acc school

Not making excuses for him but didn't he tear his ACL his senior year in high school? He's also fought through some injuries at Carolina. He was a hard hitter but just didn't have quite enough speed. It may have been due to the knee injury. If you want a better definition of a bust look at Mallicaih Goodman for Clemson. He was a high 4 star out of high school, was always healthy and never performed.

He was IMHO playing out of position. He never should have played at SS and he outgrew the spur position by last year if not his sophomore season.

All in all, he is a great student athlete and he probably would be starting on several other teams in the SEC.

Jeffrey's career was hampered by an injury recovery and being a tweener more than once. He transitioned from safety to spur to OLB to MLB. He doesn't lack speed, and his agility is a big plus at his size. He was inserted into numerous games this year, and finished several because his skill set was filling the need. Look who he's played behind at each move. With more time at linebacker, he will develop, and given his athleticism, he may do it in professional football in the NFL, Canada, or arena. Don't be surprised to see him still playing in 5 or 6 years.

Ricardo Hurley underachieved, Demario played meaningful snaps from his Frosh yr to his Sr yr, his size & our scheme played into his career.. He was a player all 4 yr's, made plays & played his role.. Moved from LB to Spurto ILB to Spur back to OLB, nvr complained..what a dumb ass question, I guess if the 4* guys don't start at one position from day one & break school records, they're a bust? BS assumption, dude busted his ass by all accounts and did everything asked of him..

Agreed. LB is his natural position and he should have stayed there. He didn't quite have the speed to cover receivers as a spur last year backing up Allen.
