Well said. The second knee was one of the worst events I have witnessed. Not especially gruesome, but that it happened again to such a fantastic person.

Are we sure this is true? It does make sense for him to go ahead and declare, and then work his way back up to making major millions. Perhaps there is a smaller chance of getting hurt again in the NFL.

Good for him. It's a smart move if there is a NFL team willing to take the risk. One Knee injury is reasonable, two is pushing it. If he is injured again, I doubt any NFL team would take that risk. Take the money and run while you can Marcus.

Supposedly the coaches have been telling a few running back recruits that Marcus is flirting with the NFL. This is also the rumor internally. Time will only tell. Regardless of what coach Spurrier has said it's not his decision. Marcus probably doesn't know what he's gonna do yet therefore nothing is official (yet).

I welcome this news! I hope he nevers plays another down as a Gamecock. I would feel terribly guilty if anything else were to happen to him playing at USC. Marcus has been the most influential Gamecock to ever play for us. I hope he goes to the NFL, breaks records and makes millions of dollars. No one deserves that more than Marcus Lattimore!

I kind of thought he may stay and rehab next year and enter the 2014 draft. This maybe a sign that his rehab and everything is projected to be ahead of what we initially thought. And there was only 1 surgery when most thought it would be multiple.

Anyways good for him if this is what he decides. He is definitely worth a 3rd or 4th round pick and should be a good player for a long time for some team assuming his knee gets back healthy bc you know he's going to work harder than anyone.
