I definitely think he's going to the SEC. It's just a matter of where.

I've heard our AD is interviewing him in NYC for the coaches banquet this weekend.

Along with Fedora, Fisher and Golden.

I like Fedora or Strong personally.

I have been told that he has terrible interview skills. Maybe he has gotten better at it or maybe his Louisville success makes it no so important.

Strong is a great coach and deserves a big job. One of the rumors I have heard that holds back guys like Strong and Turner Gill is they are married to white women. They say many black mothers are hesitant to allow their sons to play for them because of it, since they are seen as betraying their race.

I don't know if true but apparently they say its a big issue in the south, on top of some of the white racist alum issue.

You know Fisher leaving FSU is very interesting. I've read that a couple of times in the last few days. I wonder what the problem is between him and the school. It has something to do with him not being happy there. He's been there over 10 years....doesn't make sense to me.
From what I've seen, I think he's a pretty good guy, a good recruiter, and a good coach.

I believe that the administration came down hard on him when he commented negatively about the EZZ over the summer (or sometime else recently) and his desire to move to a better conference. Ole Liver Spot could have gotten away with that, since he would have made the comment "folksy," but Jimbo has not yet earned his free speech at FSU.

that is the thought on why Gill didn't get the job at Auburn when Chizik did and to why Strong has never had an SEC head job but not because recruits but because the old white male boosters have a problem with it

I think Strong is going SEC, but not Auburn. I think he is going Tennessee....Tennessee offense already at next level they just need a Defense and what better coach than Charlie Strong for that?
