Yea, i feel like chad will be a great hire but for a lesser conference. Asheshe not elite, but not fcs either. He wont get a big boy job anytime soon, when ever his offense runs into a team with any pulse on defense they fail to be consistent. Quick strike, blah blah, that only works against teams with poor discipline on defense.

As I understand it from someone that knows, Chad knew he would not take that job but went through the experience to prepare for other opportunities that may come along later in his career.

For the record, Chad Morris is a very good coordinator, I guess he can't help he plays inferior opponents ten times out the year. Having said that, as good as his offense normally performs, I think it poses a problem for Clemsux' defense because they are so used to defending the gimmick/spread attack in practice all week during the season. It just makes you wonder if that's why their guys always seem to be out of position, and when they face a good 'D' that can contain their offense, their Defense can't keep up and they end up losing the game, just some thoughts.

I guess Clemson knows now that his daughter wont be able to keep him there.

Not going to NC State, but we do know, that despite what some Clemson fans thought, Morris is looking for a head coaching job.

There was never any doubt he was looking, he got offered a job last year, he claims to be waiting on the right job.....NC State would have probably been it

Why should we care what he does? The only one that should care is Dumbo, if Morris leaves, they would probably lose a lot of thier skilled position players. They went to clemsux to be highlighted in the "pinball offense". If they lose players, and recruits, who can Dumbo turn to that will be able to cover for him? We have already seen that he can't run the offense.

Clemson is saying Morris took his name out of consideration (AKA.... NC State is going with Sonny Dykes)

All things being equal between Morris and Dykes, it would seem that Morris would be their choice. You get the head coach you want while causing a team you play every year to lose their key to success. The cascade effect is that they would probably also have their QB and top WR declare for the draft rather than rolling the dice with a new system, or worse Lil' Jeffie as your new OC.
So what I'm saying is that if they hire Dykes it would likely be because they viewed him as head and shoulders above Morris. Morris not getting this job might send him into that Gus Malzahn orbit, where once you were the hottest assistant in the country and not long after your name barely gets mentioned for any decent jobs. |

If NC State has plans on joining the SEC in the future then I would have went with Morris as the hire.
